So, who or what is Martin Blount Photography. I have spent most of the last half-century living and working in East Sussex and touring the UK. I love being outdoors and I am very interested in Nature & Wildlife. I am also fascinated by all things mechanical or motorised (especially Steam Locomotives).

Starting off with film and now moving into digital imaging, I have begun to document what I see around me.

It used to be said that 'The camera never lies' but, in this modern era of Photoshop, seeing is not always believing. So coming from the 'Old School' of photography, the images that you see on these pages are 'as taken' (bar minor adjustments for exposure, colour balance etc.) I always try to capture what I see in camera without adding it in post processing as this is how I had to back in the days of film. The nice part of digital is that you now have the ability to see the results without having to wait for the pictures to come back from processing.

Some of the images here are scans of old prints, some have been taken with a compact camera and the rest with a digital SLR. I've recently added a section for images taken with my ever present phone.
